From our location just outside of Peoria IL, we are proud to provide entertainment all over Central and Northern Illinois. We charge no additional travel expenses for anywhere located within a 60 mile radius of Peoria.
Our Staff
Jordan Waggoner - Owner, DJ - Jordan has been entertaining crowds as a DJ/MC on his own or working with other companies for the past 15 years. In 2008, at the request of some friends, he decided to start up his own DJ business. With that he started up Major Sounds Music Entertainment, which is a name that he had used since high school. Jordan brings his many years of experience and his ability to "read the crowd" with him to every event he is involved in. As the primary owner of the company, he is also responsible for making sure the business runs smoothly, the equipment is always ready to go, and is the driving force behind the excellent customer service that this company provides. Like many owners, he wears many hats. Besides being the Master of Ceremonies at most events, behind the scenes he is the Marketing Director, Web Site designer, equipment technician, and road crew. Oh, and he occasionally gets around to updating the facebook page. Somehow he manages to have fun while doing all of it, and is always willing to help out others when they need it.
Kristen Waggoner - Co-Owner, Planner - Kristen and Jordan have been working together for years. The second half of this brother / sister team have been planning and working at events for years, and continue to bring this experience to every event they do. Kristen's knowledge of music is unparalleled and she has a talent for finding those "floor-packing" songs that will keep the party moving. Kristen is also responsible for the "visual presentation" of our setup at your event - and will work to coordinate our decorations with your theme.
Also, as the wiser sister, she is often the one reminding Jordan that it is physically impossible to do a party in Galesburg that ends at 3:00 pm and then start a wedding reception in Bloomington at 4:00 pm.
